Current Issues

 Following the October 1 – 17, 2013 federal shutdown many SWCDs took the lessons learned and began developing a policy for how future interruptions of service might be handled.  We are providing some of those policies here as examples of what other SWCDs might consider in developing their own policy.

The National Conservation District Employees Association (NCDEA) had previously developed a guide that districts found useful in developing their own policy.  Though the NCDEA example has a few actions and suggestions that may not apply to Illinois, we are including it as a reference.
