APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The March 5, 2007 minutes were reviewed and approved.

WORKSHOPS:
On June 5 a Forestry Workshop was held in Effingham, and co-sponsored by Postal Flatts RC&D.

Illinois Forestry Association, Blackhawk Hills RC &D, and Tree Farm will sponsor a 2-day Forestry workshop in September located in JoDaviess County.  An email will be sent to all Districts with the information.

In August the Walnut Council and the Illinois Forestry Association will be sponsoring a Forestry Workshop in Rock Island County.

The Sugar Grove Nature Center, the AISWCD Forestry Committee, and the Illinois Big Tree Register are hosting a Citizen Big Tree Inspector workshop on Saturday, June 16. 

The International Wood Collectors Society will be holding their international meeting on July 11-17th, 2007. 

The National Walnut Council Conference will be in Dubuque, Iowa on July 29th -31st.

ADVISOR REPORTS:
IDOA, DNR, &  NRCS, were unable to attend, so there were no reports.

OLD BUSINESS:
Update on Summer Conference- Our speaker, Jim Appleby, will be presenting his session on Monday, July 30th,  in the Ottawa at 9:40 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  We have been in contact with him to firm up the details. 

NEW BUSINESS:
Forestry Award-
Illinois Forest Products has been contacted to sponsor and present the award at the Soil Stewardship Breakfast on Tuesday morning 7:30 – 9:00 a.m.

The committee was pleased to have four entries submitted this year.   Especially since we have had no entries the last two years.

After review of all of the entries, Sugar Grove Nature Center was selected by a vote of all members.

The winner information will be given to the AISWCD and they will send a letter.
