AISWCD RESOLUTION 2005-1
Travel Reimbursement
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) has determined that each Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) will receive five-hundred dollars to be allocated for SWCD Directors and Administrative Coordinator travel to be used for Summer Conference/Training.
WHEREAS, the five-hundred dollar travel allocation has no reflection on or consideration of distance traveled or the number of participants in attendance at the conference.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that we, Land Use Council #1, ask the AISWCD to lobby the Illinois Department of Agriculture to change the amount of each SWCD’s travel allocation to be reflective of the distance traveled to the conference and to the number of attendants from their respective districts.

The AISWCD has requested that the Illinois Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Land and Water Resources re-establish the practice of reimbursing Directors and Administrative Coordinators for their travel and lodging expenses while attending functions sponsored, hosted or called by the Bureau of Land and Water Resources.
