AISWCD RESOLUTION 2008-1

Stable Funding

WHEREAS, delay in receiving the FY 08 state funding resulted in the loss of several experienced and highly trained employees.

WHEREAS,  funding delays caused unnecessary stress on employees and prevented a lot of the conservation workload from being completed in a timely manner.

WHEREAS, current funding source is unstable.

WHEREAS, SWCDs provide assistance to all citizens of Illinois.

WHEREAS, Illinois’ SWCDs employees are well trained and undergo extensive and specialized training programs to effectively perform their duties, there is significant benefit in retaining them.

THEREFORE, let it be resolved the AISWCD will work at finding secure, stable funding sources for the 98 SWCDs and their programs. The AISWCD shall report to individual SWCDs every three months with progress on stable financial funding.
